Death Doula Guidance & Education
Preparing for the end of life can feel overwhelming, especially when families do not know where to begin.
Serenity offers compassionate, non-medical education and guidance to help individuals and loved ones better understand end-of-life planning, family conversations, legacy wishes, comfort needs, and the emotional realities of life’s final chapter.
With over 20 years of public speaking experience and more than 18 years working in a law office setting, I bring a calm, organized, and compassionate approach to sensitive conversations. While I do not provide legal advice or prepare legal documents, I can help you think through important questions, gather your wishes, organize information, and prepare for meaningful conversations with your family, care team, or attorney.
This support is designed to help families feel less afraid, more informed, and more prepared.
Support may include:
- End-of-life education
- Advance care planning conversations
- Legacy wishes and memory work
- Family discussion support
- Resource coordination
- Questions to discuss with hospice, care providers, or an attorney

Pet Support Services
Planning Ahead for the Pets You Love
Your pets depend on you for love, safety, routine, and care. Planning ahead helps make sure they are not left in confusion, crisis, or uncertainty if illness, hospice, long-term care, or death changes your ability to care for them.
Serenity can help you think through trusted caregivers, daily routines, medications, veterinary needs, emergency contacts, and loving written instructions.
Pet End-of-Life Doula Support
Saying goodbye to a beloved pet can be heartbreaking. Pet end-of-life doula support offers compassionate, non-medical emotional care for families preparing for loss, making meaningful memories, and honoring the life of an animal they deeply love.
This support does not replace veterinary care. It offers gentle presence, grief support, goodbye planning, and comfort during your pet’s final chapter.

Gentle Comfort Through Companion Dogs
Animals have a quiet way of bringing comfort when words are hard to find. For some individuals and families, the gentle presence of a calm, loving dog can bring peace, connection, and a sense of ease during difficult moments.
Minnie and Cooper are beloved companion dogs whose calm nature and affectionate presence can offer warmth and reassurance to those facing illness, grief, or life’s final chapter. When appropriate and welcomed, their presence may help create moments of comfort, tenderness, and calm for both the dying and the people who love them.
This offering is meant to provide gentle emotional comfort and peaceful companionship in a way that feels natural, loving, and deeply human.
Support may include:
- Calm companion dog visits
- Gentle comfort for individuals and families
- Quiet presence during difficult moments
- Loving emotional support
Companion dog visits are offered when appropriate and based on comfort, setting, and individual needs.

Spiritual Support, Prayer & Peaceful Presence
Guided visualization, calming breath, music, prayer, Scripture, quiet reflection, or simple stillness may be offered when welcomed, based on the comfort, beliefs, and wishes of the individual and family.
Faith, memory, love, and meaning often become especially important near the end of life.
As a Christian, my faith is at the heart of who I am and how I serve. When welcomed, I offer prayer, Scripture, music, the Rosary, or quiet spiritual presence as part of end-of-life support.
I also deeply respect that every person’s spiritual journey is personal. My role is never to pressure, preach, or impose my beliefs. My role is to honor the wishes, values, traditions, and comfort needs of each individual and family.
For some, peace may come through prayer.
For others, it may come through silence, music, memories, guided visualization, calming breath, or simply having someone sit quietly beside them.
Together, we can create a peaceful, meaningful space that reflects what matters most to you and your loved one.
- Prayer or Scripture, when requested
- Spiritual and emotional support
- Guided visualization and calming breath
- Music, memory, or quiet reflection
- Peaceful presence during difficult moments

Living Wakes & Life Celebrations
A living wake, sometimes called a life celebration, is a meaningful gathering held while a person is still living — a time for loved ones to come together, share memories, speak words of love, offer gratitude, and honor a life while those words can still be heard.
For some families, this may be quiet and intimate. For others, it may include music, photographs, stories, prayer, favorite foods, letters, laughter, tears, and moments of deep connection.
At Serenity, I help families gently plan a living wake or life celebration that reflects the person’s values, wishes, personality, faith, and story. This gathering is not about pretending goodbye is easy. It is about creating space for love, memory, healing, and meaningful connection before the final goodbye.
Support may include:
- Planning a meaningful gathering
- Memory sharing and storytelling ideas
- Music, readings, prayer, or reflection
- Legacy table or photo display ideas
- Letters, blessings, or recorded messages
- Gentle guidance for family participation

Non-Medical Companionship & Family Respite
When someone is nearing the end of life, families often feel torn between wanting to be present and needing moments to rest, breathe, pray, or gather themselves.
Serenity offers calm, compassionate companionship for individuals and families during life’s final chapter. This may include sitting quietly with the person who is dying, offering emotional comfort, supporting loved ones, helping create a peaceful environment, or simply being a steady presence during difficult moments.
I also help families create meaningful legacy projects — letters, stories, memory work, keepsakes, blessings, or “love remembrances” that can become treasured gifts for those left behind.
This support is not medical care and does not replace hospice, nursing, or professional caregiving. It is gentle, non-medical presence for the heart, the family, and the sacred space around goodbye.
Support may include:
- Peaceful companionship
- Vigil support during final days or hours
- Emotional support for loved ones
- Legacy projects and memory work
- Comforting presence when families need to rest
- Gentle support before, during, and after goodbye
You Do Not Have to Know Exactly What You Need
End-of-life support can begin with a simple conversation. Whether you are planning ahead, caring for someone you love, preparing for goodbye, or feeling unsure where to start, Serenity offers a gentle place to begin.
